The CLINIC | DPC doctors were the first in Lithuania to use cheekbone implants Zygoma to restore atrophic upper jaws. The Zygoma implant is longer than an ordinary implant. It is placed into the dense cheekbone, where the amount and density of the bone is suitable.
Traditionally, such a procedure involves the augmentation of the upper jaw bone. It is more difficult to control this procedure, which requires special care. In order to avoid such a complicated procedure and its possible complications, the special Zygoma implants have been created which diminish the potential risk of complications and shorten the healing time. These implants are longer than usual and are affixed in the cheekbones, which are tough enough to withstand the chewing load.
